The 48/15000/200-100 MultiPlus-II intelligently combines the functions of a powerful 15000VA 48V pure sine wave inverter, a sophisticated 200A battery charger which features adaptive charge technology, and a high-speed 100A AC transfer switch in one single unit. This makes the MultiPlus-II ideal for applications with limited space, and allows you to have a more compact and easy-to-troubleshoot system, especially since using the MultiPlus-II will require fewer cables compared to using separate units (i.e., separate inverter, battery charger, and AC transfer switch).

Key functions:

1. 15000VA 48V pure sine wave inverter: Converts DC current into 230VAC mains electricity to run a wide variety of household and professional appliances such as TVs, computers, lighting, power tools, fridges, and more. Capable of generating up to 12,000W of continuous power with a strong peak power handling capability of 27,000W (to start demanding appliances such as pumps, compressors, or motors). As a pure sine wave inverter, it delivers superior performance compared to modified sine wave models, ensuring high efficiency and full compatibility with sensitive electronics.

2. Adaptive 200A 4-stage smart battery charger (bulk – absorption – float – storage): Designed to provide safe and efficient unattended charging of 48V battery banks. Its microprocessor-controlled adaptive charging system can be tailored for various battery types, while automatically optimising the charging process based on usage.

3. Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS): The inverter/charger includes a high-speed 100A AC transfer switch. In the event of a power failure, or when shore or generator power is disconnected, the inverter instantly takes over the supply of connected loads. The switchover is so rapid (less than 20 milliseconds) that even sensitive electronics, such as computers, continue to operate without interruption.

Additional intelligent features:

• PowerControl: Allows the user to set a maximum AC input current for the MultiPlus-II, ensuring connected AC loads are prioritised while avoiding overload of the shore supply or generator. Excess current is automatically used for charging. (Requires optional Multi Control Panel).
• PowerAssist: Enables the MultiPlus-II to supplement the capacity of limited AC power sources. When peak demand exceeds the capacity of the grid or generator, the inverter adds additional power from the batteries. Once demand reduces, spare AC power is used to recharge the battery bank.
• Parallel and 3-phase operation capability: The MultiPlus-II can be connected in parallel with up to 6 identical units to increase output power. It also supports 3-phase operation (Y-configuration). Please note: the 15kVA model can only be paralleled when using an external AC transfer switch.
• Programmable relay: Can be customised for a range of applications, such as controlling a generator. By default, it functions as an alarm relay, de-energising during fault conditions.
• Auxiliary AC output (AC-out-2): For non-critical loads, disconnected immediately when the inverter switches to battery mode.
• Built-in safety protections: Safeguards against overload, output short-circuit, battery over/under-voltage, overheating, and excessive input ripple.
• Advanced charging features:
  • WeakAC mode – allows charging from distorted AC sources.
  • BatterySafe mode – prevents damage due to excessive gassing.
  • Storage mode – maintains batteries during long idle periods.
  • Bulk protection – limits bulk charging time to 10 hours in case of system issues.
  • Temperature compensation – included sensor reduces charge voltage at higher battery temperatures.
• Remote monitoring and control: When paired with a GX device (e.g., Cerbo GX Mark 2), the MultiPlus-II can be monitored and controlled both locally (via LAN/Wi-Fi) and remotely from anywhere using the free Victron VRM portal or app.
